I want to talk about the first day I went to college/middle school, which left the most profound impression in my memory.

我想講述我上大學/中學的第一天，它我腦海中留下了深刻的印象。

It was ten years ago on the first Monday of September. I clearly remember it was a sultry day, and we had our most tiresome waiting for the registry. Unlike these days with mobile payment, our school only gave us one method of paying our tuition: to line up in front of a bank, the only bank near our campus, to transfer the money to our school account.

這是在十年九月份的第一個星期一，我清晰記得這是一個悶熱的天，我們那會兒為了注冊報道真是累的要命。不像如今我們擁有移動支付，我們當時的學校只給我們提供了唯一的支付方式，那就是在銀行排隊，我們學校附近唯一的銀行，然后把錢轉賬到我們學校的賬戶里。

As you might be surprised, our school was located in the foothill far away from the city. I guess the main reason it was built there was that the land cost was much lower than in the urban areas. So, this article is from Laokaoya website, we only went to the city center for fun on a weekly basis as it took at least an hour and a half of bus ride to get there. This long distance also cut down the working hours for the bank staff. To ensure that we got the service from the bank in time, a roommate of mine queued up pretty early and helped us five roommates secure a space, which I felt immensely grateful for. Apart from that, it also took us six more hours to move into our dorm as everything needed to be purchased and set up.

你或許可能會比較驚訝，我們的學校坐落于山腳下，距離城市很遠。我估計學校建在那里的主要原因就是那里的土地相對城區便宜。所以，我們基本上每周才去趟市中心玩耍。因為，公交路程起碼得花費一個半小時。這么遠的距離也導致銀行的工作時間大大縮減。為了確保我們能夠及時轉款，我的一位室友很早就去排隊了，然后幫我們預留了空位，我很感激。除此之外，我們還花了六個多小時搬進寢室。因為，幾乎所有東西都得現買，然后進行布置。

Well, I suppose the reason why this experience still lingers in my head from time to time is that it was really a busy and tiring day. Much energy could have been saved had we had easy access to mobile payment during that days.

我覺得這經歷時常在我腦海里回蕩的原因就是那天真的太忙太累了。如果那時候能夠輕易使用移動支付的話，我們就可以省下很多力氣了。
